1/27/2024 0 Comments Battlerite ranksThe devs go through more details and explain the logic behind their decisions in this blog post from last month.Įlsewhere in patch 1.4, the way your earn cosmetic rewards has been changed to fit in with the seasons, each of which will run "for an average of 10 weeks". I've only got a vague idea of who counters who, but it seems like a necessary move for high level play. As the devs say, the idea "is to enable players to create better, more strategic team compositions and allow for counter picking against the enemy team". I'm absolutely willing to forgive the whole generic shadow assassin thing when her abilities are this fun.Īside from the new hero, the addition I'm most pleased to see is a pre-game lobby for ranked games. She's also got a shuriken that heals her or nearby allies when it does damage, a counter that turns her invisible and an ultimate that auto-aims and inflict a tonne of damage on a single opponent or a group. She can also hookshot to walls, and with the right battlerite selected she can leap off them using that ability too. Jamila isn't quite as nippy as some of Battlerite's other champions, but her specific spin on mobility involves leaping at walls and pirouetting off them, incapacitating anyone she passes through on the rebound. I tend to play agile damage dealers whenever I've got the option, and part of the reason I like Battlerite so much is because every character is an agile damage dealer to some extent. I'll dig into the rest of what's new in just a minute, but let's start with Jamila. More important than all that though is the new melee champion, Jamila the Shadowblade Assassin, whose skill set somehow includes everything I want from a hero in my MOBA-lite-likes. Matchmaking has been improved, there's a new cosmetic rewards system and season 1 of competitive play has begun in earnest (we've just been in the "pre-season" up till now). You know what though? I think this is the update that's going to get me properly back into this. I've been dipping back into it with the release of every new champion, and each time I say to myself "ah yeah, this is the update that's going to get me properly get back into this". You can see the titles awarded and the players who received them in Titles Page.Stunlock Studio's "team arena brawler" has done Battlerite by me. The first 5 Grand Champion teams/players on each ladder also get special Titles. Play at least one match a week to avoid the penalty.Įnd of season rewards consist of Tokens, Chests and Avatars. Players & Teams in Diamond League or above will experience rating decay if they have not played for 7 days. When you start with a new team, the system tries to estimate a skill level based on your other ratings. You have a separate rating for each team you play with. In Grand Champion League you start gathering points instead of climbing divisions. When you lose all your points you get demoted. In the same manner, losing while at the bottom of Division 5 will drop you to Division 1 of the lower League. Progressing further will promote you to the next League. At the start of a new season you get rewarded for your efforts in the last season and your rating receives a soft reset.Īs you gain rating, you will move between Divisions and if you continue to win you will eventually reach the highest Division in a given League, Division 1. Note: If a teammate leaves the game or doesn't have a league you dont lose any points. Note: Grand Champion - Has no divisions.Placement games have been added to quicker place you close to your skill level.Divisions per League have been reduced from 8 to 5.Bronze - Silver - Gold - Platinum - Diamond - Champion Leagues: All of them consist of 5 divisions.Ranked Players losing a match with a teammate under Placement will not lose their rating. Players are placed in the appropriate League & Division after completing 6 Placement Matches (3 for Teams). As of Patch 0.13.2.0 (), anyone starting in the Contender League have to complete Placement Matches.

1/27/2024 0 Comments Disney zeus poseidon hadesIn an interview with Inverse, Blood of Zeus showrunners Vlas and Charly Parlapanides reveal how the ending sets up a possible Season 2 - and what's stopping Season 2 from happening right now. When the dust settles, Zeus' human son Heron (Derek Phillips) stands tall with the other gods on Mount Olympus, while his half-demon brother Seraphim (Elias Toufexis) rides the river Styx.Īnd Seraphim isn't alone. Deep in the underworld, another deity made themselves known in a way that is both exciting and just a little bone-chilling.īlood of Zeus, the latest American anime on Netflix from animation studio Powerhouse, tells a new story about the Greek Olympians and their war against the Giants. So, yeah, that’s all I got for you on Zeus and Poseidon. The show may be titled Blood of Zeus, but the god of thunder doesn't get the last laugh in Netflix's new anime hit. In a way, Poseidon was probably the most clear-sighted of the three brothers in the end who saw the situation for what it was. I feel like from that point on, Poseidon saw Hades for the villain he was despite Zeus’s attempts to gloss over Hades’s misdeeds. So I think Poseidon took Hades’s evil plot as the betrayal it was. Then the only other ep they really interact in has Poseidon angrily pointing the trident at Hades and walking away without a word. The episode ends with Poseidon furious and using the trident to beat Hades up. But that’s the ONLY episode they really interact in, and in it, Hades betrays Poseidon and tries to annex his realm. They had a nice friendly relationship and repartee in Hercules and the River Styx and a good brotherly bond with Poseidon calling Hades his “little bro-bro” and kind of treating Hades with the same infantilization that Zeus does. Poseidon and Hades are a little different. They’re both kings of their own domains and have a wife and kids, so they tend to not spend much time together unless they’re working with the Council of the Gods. Poseidon and Zeus are on good terms with each other and frequently support one another as they see fit. He likes being Lord of the Waters, doesn’t care about the throne of Olympus, and mostly just keeps himself occupied with making marine mammals and fish sticks. Poseidon is mostly “my name is Paul, this is between y’all” over Zeus and Hades’s dysfunction. Hades, however, genuinely hates Zeus even though they have a good repartee and always have. And after how paranoid Cronus got, Zeus wants to avoid going down that dark path. Zeus kinda treats “evil” like it’s Hades’s special interest rather than something genuinely threatening, which is probably at least partially self-preservation: he can’t believe that Hades could ever really come close to usurping him because that would mean that he’s weak enough to lose his throne. I think Zeus genuinely thinks Hades is gonna get over his resentment for being assigned the Underworld and figures as long as he maintains their friendship, things’ll all work out. I feel like they were likely really close before Zeus became king of Olympus and genuinely had a good friendship, and the fact that they were so close and yet Zeus still dumped Hades in the Underworld is what really made that sting all the harder for Hades. Despite all the schemes Hades hatches in the TV show, he and Zeus are always right back to hanging out and being familiar with each other next episode. Hades and Zeus weirdly seem to have a much closer relationship than either of them do to Poseidon. But what I can offer you is the way I see their relationship to Hades and each other. But weirdly I don’t have very many coming to mind. Sorry, I’ve been sitting on this ask since I got it trying to think of a good answer for you. 1/27/2024 0 Comments Irs tax brackets 2021The highest withholding rate is 6.6% and the supplemental rate of withholding is 6%. That said, there are a small handful of gems, like the gauzy "The Balance Song," which sounds like prime mid-period Yo La Tengo. There are some catchy tunes here, but much more than on later Sleepyhead albums, the listener has to search for the hooks under the attitude, and it might not always be worth the effort. The 1 rated Sleepyhead gel and copper memory foam mattress toppers are made from high-quality materials and will last you through your college years with. From mattresses and beddings to eye masks and ear plugs, you can find everything you need to help you get the 7-8 hours of deep sleep you need to feel refreshed and read. The songs are largely buried under unnecessary layers of guitar noise and feedback, and primary singer Chris O'Rourke (drummer Rachael McNally hardly opens her mouth here, to the album's detriment) sings in a standard issue indie rock whine that's far removed from his boyish vocals on later albums. Sleepyhead USA offers a variety of solutions to help you get the best possible sleep. Managing everything from a sweet lilt to cagey fortitude and urgent intensity, the trio replaces the we-can’t-play-we’re-indie-rock excuse with modest excellence whatever their political affiliation, “My Blooz,” the goofy “Ice Cream Cone,” the biographical ballad “Rolling Rita” and “Forensic Studies Show” make Communist Love Songs an easy winner of minds and hearts. The first album by the New York City noise pop trio Sleepyhead isn't actually bad, but, in retrospect, it's certainly the weakest of their albums. She duets (disorientingly, given that their voices are in the same helium register) with O’Rourke on “The Communist Love Song,” making a romantic joke of Marxist sensibilities (“I think you love your credit card much more than you love me”). (Diminishing his vocal diffidence, O’Rourke employs a hoarse whisper for most of the record.) Concurrent with a tendency toward restrained playing is the dose of well-crafted lyrical imagination that leads to intriguing places like the tremolo-powered afterlife of “Sick of Heaven.” A clear mix and the band’s understatement makes Starduster subtler, but Sleepyhead’s gentle charms remain intact.Ĭo-produced by Martin Bisi, Communist Love Songs is an all-ways-’round improvement, an absolute charmer of alluring pop, inveigling organ strains, witty and substantial lyrics and an increased vocal role for McNally. Previewed on a Spanish EP named for one of its songs, Starduster (which, unlike the first album, contains the hyperspeed “Punk Rock City USA”) starts out by claiming adulthood at 22 in “What’s Gonna Set You Free?” and proceeds to demonstrate an elevated state of maturity in subject matter, songwriting and arrangements. That effect amplifies the lyrics’ wimp factor, maxing out the winsomosity of Punk Rock City USA numbers like “Riff Test” and the mostly acoustic “Different Colored Letters.” (Before the debut album, Sleepyhead issued a pair of singles and contributed four songs to a ’92 compilation.) Her primary mediums consist of watercolor painting, pen & ink illustration, and digital. For all of the casual instrumental aggression, the trio - Michael Galinsky (bass), Chris O’Rourke (guitar/vocals/keyboards) and Rachael McNally (drums/vocals) - sings its eccentrically titled love missives with a timorous adolescent fervor. Power users and those who wish to use Parallels to game will want to opt for the Pro Edition, which costs $119.99 a year without a one-time purchase option. So for a beast of a machine like the Mac Studio with M1 Ultra, that would be 10 CPU cores and up to 64GB (Note: Parallels only supports up to 62GB max memory on M1 Macs) of memory dedicated to the VM, numbers that far exceed the capability of the Standard Edition. Parallels notes that configuring half the total CPUs and half the total memory will provide optimal performance. Instead, the VM interfaces with the Metal API. Parallels virtual machines also use the GPU in the Apple Silicon package, but they don’t have direct GPU access. The memory you dedicate to your Parallels VM will have a direct effect on graphics performance within your virtual machine. Unlike Intel-based Macs of the past, Apple Silicon features a unified memory architecture instead of dedicated graphics memory. If you’re just running the odd app that’s only available on Windows, the Standard Edition is fine, but depending on how you plan to use Windows, these restraints may pose a bottleneck on performance. The Standard Edition limits configurations to up to 8GB of vRAM and four vCPUs. It's like hating on Air Jordans, the climax of Madonna's Like a Prayer, or the colour yellow for being too perfect. I've been covering games for two decades, throughout which my peers have dumped on explosive barrels as key exemplars of lazy design. The ensuing rage from that event alone will carry me through the rest of the game, until that moment when I can kick them square in the face. In order to set up a truly despicable villain you've got to dangle their smug face in front of me very early on and have them say something like "you have no idea what you're messing with". It's overused, yeah, but I like it, because I know it's going to happen. Doom might be the first game that did this, but it's since appeared in BioShock, Resident Evil, and many more horror or horror-adjacent games.
